Red Wings Alex DeBrincat "everyone is frustrated" As They Ended The Year Out of the Playoffs

The Detroit Red Wings finished 6th in the Atlantic Division, even after Todd McLellan did his best to turn the team around. Just shy of a playoff spot, the Red Wings' GM Steve Yzerman should listen to his players' exit interviews and reflect on his mistakes.

Where he should've spent more to make the team better, he held his cards, and it resulted in multiple Wings players venting their frustration to reporters.

First, it included Captain Dylan Larkin, and now winger Alex DeBrincat shared that sentiment with Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press.

DeBrincat said everyone felt frustrated with how the year went, and instead of blaming other people, he and his fellow teammates held themselves accountable.

DeBrincat felt that he and the team themselves could do more to be successful. It's hard to discount that, considering it felt like the team was floundering while Derek Lalonde was in charge this year.

He wants the team to stop making excuses and take the next step in 2025-2026.

A realistic goal, with a defined purpose for the team next season under Todd McLellan.

Now, GM Steve Yzerman will have to continue and try to build the best Red Wingsteam available in 2025.
