Red Wings defenseman Simon Edvinsson hurt vs. Senators, departs game
Simon Edvinsson becomes the 2nd Red Wings player to depart tonight's game against the Senators with an injury; they also lost goaltender Alex Lyon.
We had just finished asking the injury bug to leave the Detroit Red Wings alone, but it didn't listen.
Not long after the Red Wings lost goaltender Alex Lyon for the remainder of tonight's game against the divisional foe Ottawa Senators, they suffered another significant setback.
Defenseman Simon Edvinsson was shaken up after a collision at the Detroit blue line, and soon headed toward the Red Wings dressing room while laboring.
Edvinsson was paired with Albert Johansson to start the game.
