The Detroit Red Wings lineup in 2025-2026 should look exciting, as one fan released their idealized version of the lineup for next season.
At 6th in the Atlantic Division, the team should be poised to make the right moves in free agency. Giving them a shot at signing some of the best talent available, with $16 million to work with.
After a year of disappointment, the
Red Wings deserve to be treated to a winning season. And here we pondered a "what if" scenario of building the team's lineup, if it were built by a fan.
SeiderGoat53 on X had an exciting idea of how the Red Wings' lineup should look during the 2025-2026 season.
Expected given how big a role Raymond plays for the Red Wings, at almost a point-per-game player this season, scoring 70 (24 goals, 46 assists) in 71 games.
However, they should expect the Red Wings to use free agency to fill the 1LW and left-shot defenseman role on the top pair. With the amount of cap available for Yzerman to use, it shouldn't be difficult.
This lineup sounds explosive compared to the lineup the Wings are currently icing, and fighting for a playoff spot with.
Mortiz Seider would, of course, maintain his spot on the right of the top-pair.
While they'd go all in on
Petr Mrazek as the starting goalie, with Cam Talbot, and
Sebastian Cossa slot in as the second and third backups.
The Red Wings need a youth movement to revitalize the lineup, and getting rid of placeholder vets would be a great start during the offseason.
