The Chicago Blackhawks are nearing the end of their long-term rebuild and are deciding on which pieces are currently valuable to them throughout this crucial route back to success, and a 23-year-old forward has been singled out.

Throughout the past several weeks Lukas Reichel has been involved in various trade reports, which have linked him to several teams, including the Detroit Red Wings.
Alongside the Red Wings are the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, and San Jose Sharks, who were all named in David Pagnotta's latest column and are interested in acquiring the former seventeenth overall pick.
"According to David Pagnotta via Jeff Marek's The Sheet, Reichel could be traded to one of the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, San Jose Sharks and Detroit Red Wings. Reichel is a pending restricted free agent, who is set to earn $1.2 million against the cap this season.

The former 2020 first-round pick appeared in 70 games last season, scoring eight goals, adding 14 assists for 22 points. Reichel averaged 11:54 of ice-time and was used as a depth option on the Blackhawks' power play."

Reichel has struggled to find his footing with the Chicago Blackhawks

Reichel and the Blackhawks are certainly in hope that a possible change of scenery will spark his 17th overall pick potential.
Despite several opportunities playing alongside Connor Bedard and Chicago's top-line players, Reichel has failed to show any promise.
Last season, the 23-year-old forward found himself a healthy scratch for several games after sleeping in and missing a team meeting.
