A trade could be underway in Detroit as three teams were named as potential destinations for a young Red Wings forward.

Steve Yzerman's way of managing the Detroit Red Wings has been a hot debate topic in recent years, but we can't deny the fact that he developed several great prospects who will be ready to have an impact in the NHL in the coming years.
The depth in the forward group is especially impressive. Just last night, two young forwards made their debut in Detroit: Emmitt Finnie and Michael Brandsegg-Nygaard.
It was a tough evening for the Red Wings, who ended up losing 5-1 to the Montreal Canadiens in their home opener, but it was an encouraging sign to see many young players make their first strides in the NHL.
With all these young players coming up, others are likely to be forced to give up their spots.
Jonatan Berggren watched the game from the press box, and today, reports about a potential trade emerged.

Three Potential Trade Destinations For Jonatan Berggren Emerge

Berggren, 25, agreed to sign a one-year contract with the Wings valued at $1,825,000 during the offseason, but all points toward his departure from the organization that drafted him 33rd overall in 2018.
In a new report, the Colorado Avalanche, Los Angeles Kings, and San Jose Sharks were mentioned.
The Avalanche have had a great start to the season with two straight wins against the Kings and the Utah Mammoth. Despite losing Mikko Rantanen, the team still has impressive offensive depth, but a player with high upside like Berggren could be interesting for Colorado, who will look to win more than one playoff round for the first time since winning the Stanley Cup in 2022.
As for the Kings, the team will have high goals this year, especially with Anze Kopitar's retirement announcement. The team is likely to go all-in this year. Don't be surprised to see them make several trades during the season if the right opportunities come.
Finally, the Sharks, who have a lot of young talented players on the team, could be tempted to go after Berggren for his potential, as they could provide an environment in which he could thrive.
But for a trade to happen, teams will want to see Berggren on the ice, meaning he should see some action at some point if he were to get traded.
