The Montreal Canadiens are trading Carey Price's contract on September 1st, and interested teams have been named, per a TVA Sports Analyst.

Montreal Canadiens fans have had September 1st circled on their calendar for a while, as after that day, the Habs will be in a great position to complete another major trade.
General Manager Kent Hughes seems open to offering first-round picks to acquire a natural center, and a deal is much more likely to happen after September 1st.
Indeed, Carey Price will be paid a massive bonus, and trading his contract will be much easier.

Canadiens to trade Carey Price after September 1st

Although Carey Price is effectively retired, league insiders expect his contract to be traded in the coming days.
With one year remaining on his deal, the Canadiens may finally have the flexibility to move the deal and free up cap space.
Montreal is projected to be about $6M over the salary cap.
Unlike previous seasons, they can't rely on papering players or placing Price on LTIR to navigate the cap.
With Price's final $5.5M signing bonus already paid, now is the ideal window to make a move.
Marco D'Amico is sure the team won't enter the next season with his contract:
"I've heard Price's contract being in play for a while; things should shake loose as of September 1st or soon after. I can't see the Canadiens going into the season with that anchor on their salary cap."
But according to Jean-Charles Lajoie, the host of TVA Sports, he will be dealt on September first.
"Fans of the #CH, stay alert. The costly September 1st will see C. Price's contract move to other skies. K. Hughes is reportedly inclined to trade picks, notably first-rounders, to add a natural center to his roster. A complex but effective deal, as the GM likes, is taking shape. The Western Conference is one to watch... And all this is very exciting! 25-26 will be a fascinating season!!"
He added that the San Jose Sharks are among the teams showing the most interest. Just $5M above the salary cap floor, and with nine UFAs, including five defensemen, they could use a contract like Price's as insurance while moving higher-salaried players.
The Chicago Blackhawks and Pittsburgh Penguins have also been mentioned.
The Blackhawks have used similar strategies in the past to manage cap floors, and the Penguins could leverage Price's contract to create flexibility.
Stay tuned for updates.
