Is Linus Ullmark already on his way out of Ottawa?
The Boston Bruins traded former Vezina winner Linus Ullmark to the Senators at the beginning of the off-season, and it seems he's already on his way out since he doesn't want to look for an extension.
According to insider Frankie Corrado, Ullmark might only be a rental in Ottawa as he is entering the last year of his contract and has been vague about signing an extension.
"The whole contract situation and the talks about that, that is something that (Senators GM) Steve (Staios) and my agent will deal with off to the side. I told them as well that once there is something that needs to be discussed, you can always reach me ... I try not to look too far ahead.
"I try to stay in the moment and not worry about what may or what could be in the future and instead, just enjoying the present."
While there is still a year to discuss an extension, it's discouraging for Sens fans that Ullmark isn't committed to staying.
