Red Wings could land former second overall pick
News broke yesterday that Blue Jackets forward Patrik Laine has asked for a trade as he is looking for a fresh start.
The Blue Jackets are currently working on putting a deal together but there has been no confirmation on who the acquiring party is.

Laine struggled last season with injuries and health issue also playing in 18 games while putting up 9 points. In the two season prior to that, Laine had over 50 points in back to back seasons.
