15 NHL players placed on waivers: Multiple former first round picks emerge for the Red Wings

Multiple first-round picks have emerged for the Detroit Red Wings following 15 NHL players being placed on waivers.

With the 2025/26 NHL season just moments away, all organizations within the National Hockey League are feeling the pressure.
As their rosters will have to be set in stone before taking on the ice in aim to hoist the Stanley Cup at the end of the 82-game series.
That being said, today, October 4, several players within the NHL have been placed on waivers, and these waiver placements have just been revealed.
To add, a couple of these players were shockingly former first-round draft picks.

Here's the 15 players who have been put on waivers

Over the past week, more than 100 players have been placed on waivers due to the regular season being just days away, and a recent social media post, via «X,» was made by PuckPedia, revealing the players who will not receive a spot on the NHL roster.

Tobias Bjornfot (Panthers)

Goalies:
Brandon Bussi (Panthers)»
Two of these players were once first-round picks, Tobias Bjornfot of the Florida Panthers and Colin White of the San Jose Sharks.
Both of these skilled forwards are wingers, who can undoubtedly aid any team in need of more talent offensively, including the Detroit Red Wings.
