Detroit Red Wings forward Patrick Kane committed to the team in another way this offseason, as he sold off his Walton Street Condominium in the North Side of Chicago, a home he owned as a Blackhawk.

If you doubted Kane's commitment to the Red Wings, wonder no more.
This past offseason, he sold a luxurious piece of real estate in the North Side of Chicago.
The luxury condo was on the 25th floor of the building at 9 W Walton Street in Chicago. The condo would net Kane a nice $6.4 million for a whopping 4,776 square feet of living space.
The luxury condo contained four bedrooms and was sold in an off-market transaction.
For Kane, keeping this space wasn't a necessity, considering he played for the Blackhawks for 16 years, no more.

Patrick Kane Takes a Hit, but Not On The Ice

For Kane, this is one of several properties he's owned over the years as a Blackhawk, and he has broken even on the sale.
Kane had to take a 1% loss in order to make the sale, as no listing of a buy was mentioned in public records.
According to records, when Kane first bought the condo, it had 4 1/2 bathrooms, a fireplace, and wooden floors.
All we know for now is that the new owner of the property bought it through a land trust and has kept their name secret.
Kane continues to own at least two other Chicago-area properties. In 2008, he paid $2.06 million for a 33th-floor condo in the Trump International Hotel & Tower. Kane continues to own that unit. He also reportedly paid $5 million in 2022 for a five-bedroom, 5,932-square-foot Greek Revival-style house close to Lake Michigan in Lake Forest.

His last purchase shows a commitment to the Red Wings, considering his current age with retirement looming.
It's part of the American dream, which Kane continues to uphold as one of the best American-born wingers in hockey.
Last season, Kane scored 59 points (21-38) as a Red Wing, and he will help pick up the slack from last season as they aim for the playoffs.
