Hockey Hall of Famer Chris Chelios has been inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame as part of the 2025 Class following a recent statement by the Detroit Red Wings on X.

Join us to honor the remarkable achievements of this group at the Induction Event on Friday, December 19, at MotorCity Casino Hotel's Sound Board Theater.
Over 10 seasons, Chelios played 578 regular-season games, tallying up 31 goals, 131 assists, and a +141 rating.
He was a key part of the Red Wings' 2002 and 2008 Stanley Cup wins and remained a respected veteran around the entire NHL into his 40s.
Chelios, who retired in 2010, played 1,651 NHL regular-season games-the second-most by a defenseman-and holds the record for most playoff games (266).
He won three Stanley Cups (Montreal, Chicago, Detroit) and was a Norris Trophy runner-up at age 40 with Detroit.
He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2013.
