A Major Development In The Detroit Red Wings Firing General Manager Steve Yzerman Per Insider
As the Red Wings are projected to miss the playoffs once again, Steve Yzerman's job security in Detroit gets smaller and smaller, former NHL player turned podcast host Ryan Whitney has addressed the current state of the organization in a latest podcast.
The Detroit Red Wings had one of the best stretches in the NHL following the halfway mark of the season, and then things quickly went south.

not fit for the job as general manager of the Detroit Red Wings.
Spittin Chiclets podcast, ran by former NHL players Ryan Whitney and Paul Bissonnette, recently touched base on Yzerman being on the verge of being fired by the organization.

It's quite unusual for insiders outside of the Red Wings organization to analyze Yzerman's mistakes so deeply as they are usually swept underneath a rug, but it now appears there is motion to a management change in Detroit.
