The Detroit Red Wings and Cam Talbot defeated the reigning Stanley Cup champions tonight 2-1, with help from Alex DeBrincat.

The game was a must-win for the Detroit Red Wings, and goalie Cam Talbot proved he was worth every penny of the two-year, $2.5 million deal he signed with the Red Wings.
He'd be a key piece in the game, making 31 saves, giving the team the chance they needed to pull ahead.
Here you can see the Panthers crowding the net as Carter Verhaeghe, Mackie Samoskevich, Brad Marchand, and Anton Lundell would attempt to crack Talbot.
Mackie Samoskevich would utilize a cross-ice pass to Lundell, which Talbot denied him using his pads, and eventually his chest to stop a Panthers scoring chance.
The save was made with 1.6 left in the game, which gave the Wings the win.
The kind of support you need in the crease to win games.
The save made was spectacular and highlight-worthy! The best part of the night is the fact that the Red Wings and Talbot got goal support tonight from Center J.T. Compher and Alex DeBrincat.
Talbot made 31 saves on 32 shots against tonight, only giving up 1 goal, and ending the game with a .969 save percentage.
The Red Wings remain 6th in the Atlantic Division, with a record of 36-33-7, and have 79 points, putting them just below the New York Rangers in the wild card race.
Talbot is 20-17-4 with the Red Wings this season, and has a GAA of 2.85 and a .905 save percentage.
