Moritz Seider has been deemed safe, and confirmed to be staying in Detroit, according to the team reporter.
Seider is Detroit's foundation on the back end, playing 25 minutes a night against some of the NHL's toughest competition. And while his point production has remained constant in the 40s, Seider's underlying defensive numbers were the best of his career, propelling him to an even 50 percent expected goals share. That's a big deal given his challenging usage.
With Seider and Ben Chiarot still under contract, it'll be interesting to see how Yzerman
