Detroit Red Wings provide worrisome injury update on top prospect Nate Danielson

Detroit Red Wings top forward prospect Nate Danielson has suffered an injury in Buffalo, head coach Todd McLellan has provided an update on his status at practice on Monday.

Sometimes, preseason hockey can come with some unfortunate injuries, as nearly everybody on the ice for both sides are playing with high-intensity, attempting to make a solid showing for their management group watching in the press box.
According to Red Wings head coach Todd McLellan, forward Nate Danielson suffered an injury in Detroit's most recent preseason game.
Danielson was working multiple preseason games on the top line alongside Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond.

Nate Danielson injured vs Sabres, no time frame on return

McLellan unveiled that there is currently no time frame on the top prospects return to the ice, clearly haulting a key opportunity in cotinuing showing his progress in hopes to earn a roster spot out of preseason.
Danielson, 21, is coming off of a 39-point season with the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins and was a major contributor to their success last season.
Not only is this a big blow for the Red Wings, but also their affiliates, as they anxiously await an update on his current status.
"Red Wings McLellan said Danielson was injured in Buffalo and will be out for a bit, no time frame yet. Also no word on when van Riemsdyk will join the team. Edvinsson won't play tonight or tomorrow but will be ready for the start of the season."
