The Red Wings' fan base has been speculating the departure of Detroit's veteran, Dylan Larkin, following his recent announcement, and new insight from a Red Wings reporter has revealed his fate within the organization.

These speculations all began following Dylan Larkin's interview during the club's locker clean out day, when the veteran acknowledged that there was a letdown during the NHL trade deadline that ultimately left the team's ability to make the playoffs little to none.
Take a look at the interview:
However, a Detroit Red Wings reporter, Bob Duff, with detroithockeynow.com reveals the captain's reaction 'was only human' and that 'the Red Wings aren't trading Larkin'.

The Detroit Red Wings will not trade Dylan Larkin this summer

The reporter reveals that Dylan Larkin will be staying in Detroit whether he likes it or not.
«For starters, the captain has a complete no-movement clause in his contract that runs through the 2027-28 season. And if the Wings were thinking of dealing Larkin, the time to move him would've been before deciding to ink him to an eight-year, $69.6-million contract. Dylan Larkin is also the face of the Detroit Red Wings franchise

Larkin has needless to say, been the face of the Red Wings with all his heart and soul, despite all the hard years the organization has recently undergone.

«I do take it hard and I want to help this team get to the playoffs,» Larkin said. «And not just get to the playoffs, but win the Stanley Cup. That's the ultimate goal here. It's not just making the playoffs, but winning the Stanley Cup. And we need, we have a lot of work to do all over the board here for us to become champions.» Larkin admitted recently.

It is quite notable that Dylan Larkin's loyalty and longevity is in Detroit, so fans can expect their captain to be here for the long-run.
