Detroit Red Wings Unveil New Post-Win Goal Song

Following their recent win over the Utah Hockey Club, the Detroit Red Wings unveiled a new celebratory song that blares in their dressing room.
The Detroit Red Wings picked up a badly-needed victory on Monday night in what was their 1st ever visit to Delta Center in Salt Lake City, home of the Utah Hockey Club.
Despite falling behind 1-0 early in the contest, they responded with 5 unanswered goals for a 5-1 win to keep their postseason hopes mathematically alive.
And afterward, media members were quick to notice a particular song blaring in the dressing room. The popular Pear Jam anthem "Still Alive" was playing on full blast:
The Red Wings also turned to an unexpected source for offense, as Austin Watson (recently re-called from the Grand Rapids Griffins) scored his 1st goal of the year and 1st NHL goal since 2023.
As he would explain in his postgame availability, he and his teammates simply found a way to pick up points.
Anything you can use as momentum this time of year, you'll use and cling to it a little bit. It's different ways to win games and some look different than others, and tonight was just an example of sticking to it and doing a little bit of the dirty work and finding a way to get two points.
Unfortunately, there was no playing of the popular tune on Tuesday night at Ball Arena in Denver. The good feelings of Monday's win were dashed with a 5-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche, who sent Detroit to their 10th loss in their last 13 games.
The Red Wings return home on Thursday night for what will be an extremely critical matchup against the divisional foe Ottawa Senators at Little Caesars Arena.
