Detroit Red Wings welcome special star to their organization for one day
The Detroit Red Wings do amazing things, and that includes welcoming Devin into the organization for a day as part of his wish with the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Devin from Make-A-Wish joined the Red Wings organization for the weekend, as the team welcomed the new star into the fray.
Here you can see Devin dressed in his weekend best, a red Wings jersey wearing #29 with his name on the back.
The guys were quick to make him feel like he was just another teammate as he hyped them up before the game, sounding off the lineup before the start of the game.
He'd join his heroes on the ice, before the National Anthem would start in his gear, you can see
Patrick Kane's back to the camera.
We're just wondering how Devin wasn't starstruck at that moment, given the immense star power, with Larkin, DeBrincat, and Kane just some of the players he'd have the pleasure of meeting that day.
After the game, we're kind of jealous, as he'd get to meet
Mo Seider, and he'd be gifted his stick from the game.
That kind of day is one you put in the storybooks, and Devin got to live his wish out in the NHL.
His weekend included a Red Wings practice, a game, as he would get to see the game in a manner not many fans get the privilege of seeing it: from behind the scenes.
Thanks to
GM Steve Yzerman, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the NHL for making this possible for Devin.
We get to see the best of humanity in moments like this.
