Per NHL analyst, a Detroit Red Wings longtime rival has now become a favorited organization to acquire Pittsburgh Penguins' Sidney Crosby.
Earlier in September, many speculations and rumors surfaced regarding a potential trade being set to erupt within Pittsburgh, which would ultimately see longtime veteran, Sidney Crosby, depart from his organization.
These rumors began when Crosby's agent, Pat Brisson, indicated that a late-career trade is «always a possibility», which undoubtely caught the hockey world by surprise.
Crosby would subsequently assert that Pittsburgh is «where I want to be».
However, will Crosby still be interested in staying in Pittsburgh when the rebuilding organization are nearing absence from postseason contention in December?
With that being said, 38-year old Crosby will still be under contract until 2026/27, where he wields the power with a no-movement clause, so the decision lies in his hands until his contract expires.
Yet, a new report by NHL analyst, John Matisz, has unveiled a Detroit Red Wings rival to be a landing destinations for Pittsburgh Penguins' veteran, Sidney Crosby, if a trade were to be considered.

A new report by NHL analyst, John Matisz, has revealed that the Montreal Canadiens have surfaced as a potential landing destinations for Pittsburgh Penguins' Sidney Crosby.

With all that being said, this organization has been speculated to be an intriguing one for Crosby, yet, at this time, it is uncertain whether or not this veteran would be open to a trade.
