Major announcement on Detroit Red Wings' Elmer Soderblom and it does not look good

The Detroit Red Wings' Elmer Soderblom endured a brutal hit in the beginning of this month, March 1, which concluded in the forward needing assistance off the ice.

Following this incident, Soderblom was revealed to be on a day-to-day basis, and luckily made his appearance in the team's roster quickly after the injury.

However, this forward has been on the ice back-and-forth since his original injury, and appears to have once again aggravated his head, as it was revealed the player was missing from last night's match-up.

It was also revealed by Detroit Red Wings reporter, Helene St. James, that Soderblom will miss Thursday's game against the Ottawa Sentators as well:

Although Soderblom's return is uncertain, head injuries are certainly not something to take lightly, and although the organization is currently in the playoff push, it may be best to let this forward completely recover before he returns.
