Official signing alert of a 33-year-old goal-scoring forward who's very familiar to Red Wings fans

The Detroit Red Wings have seen a familiar face pop up in the Mestis League in Finland, as Teemu Pulkkinen has found a new home with the Finnish team the "Vantaa."
Teemu Pulkkinen was a 4th-round draft pick by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2010 NHL Draft.
He'd win the Calder Cup as a prospect with the Grand Rapids Griffins in 2012-13 and play for the first time in the NHL during the 2013-14 season.
The Former Fourth-Round Pick Heads Home
The forward's career, albeit short, was spent in a Red Wings jersey, playing a total of 70 games with the team and scoring a total of 20 points (11-9).
The Red Wings player would play with two more teams in the NHL before he decided to pack it up and head to Europe, suiting up for the Arizona Coyotes and Minnesota Wild as stops along the way.
But the 33-year-old forward was spotted in the Mestis League in Finland, playing in Vantaa.
The city is to the north of the capital, Helsinki.
The 33-year-old joins the Vantaa after a lengthy career in the AHL, playing a total of 300 games split between the leagues.
Pulkkinen's career totals in the NHL: 83 GP, 22 points (13-9), and he will be playing the game of hockey as long as he can.
His last stint came in the KHL, where he played with the Kunlun Red Star (now Shanghai Dragons), Dynamo Minsk & Moscow, Chelyabinsk Traktor, and Yaroslav Lokomotiv. He'd play in the DEL (Deutsche Eishockey League), Slovak, and Swiss hockey leagues before heading home for good.
It's always great to see former Red Wings in the wild, doing what they love.
