PK Subban Slams Justin Holl and Steve Yzerman as Detroit Red Wings Struggle
Detroit Red Wings defenseman Justin Holl is under fire following controversial comment from former NHL player PK Subban, and he also delivered a shot towards general manager Steve Yzerman at the same time.
The Red Wings have quickly went from one of the best teams in the NHL to the worst, after a sudden
coaching change earlier in the season made by general manager Steve Yzerman, sparked a winning streak.
That sadly didn't last long as they would ultimately end up going on a tough losing streak, suffering losses in seven straight games in regulation from Feb. 29 to March 14, causing them to fall out of a playoff spot by a wide margin.
Despite snapping the losing streak, it hasn't been all that pretty as of late, causing them to make
frequent roster changes.
Surprisingly, Justin Holl has remained safe despite the several roster moves announced recently, and former Norris Trophy winner PK Subban did not hold back when calling the veteran Red Wings defenseman out, alongside general manager Steve Yzerman.
Subban calls out Holl for being soft
During a recent appearance on the ESPN panel, Subban targeted Red Wings defenseman Justin Holl, calling his playing across Detroit and his prior team the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Holl has played 61 games this season and joined the Red Wings in 2023-24 after being acquired by Steve Yzerman.
Subban also voiced displeasure with the 'Stevie Y'.
If it wasn't already evident enough that Steve Yzerman hasn't created a consistent roster, leave it to ESPN analyst and former Norris Trophy winning defenseman PK Subban to call out his flaws.
