On Sunday, November 2, the Grand Rapids Griffins reached a record that has not been seen since the 2000/01 IHL season, as this club is the only one in the league's last remaining undefeated team.
The team continued their record-breaking start to the season by extending their undefeated streak to 8-0-0 with an outstanding 6-2 victory against the Rockford IceHogs at the Van Andel Arena.
This win marked a weekend sweep of their Central Division rivals, as the Griffins outscored the IceHogs 10-4 across their two games.
