Captain Dylan Larkin and Alex DeBrincat put the Red Wings on their back and guided them to a 5-2 win against the St. Louis Blues to sweep their two-game head-to-head matchup.

The Red Wings simply can't catch a break from their abundance of injuries, but they sure can rally together at times when needed the most.
Ahead of their matchup against the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday, Todd McLellan issued a crucial injury update on Patrick Kane, confirming his return is unknown.
"Future Hall-Of-Famer Patrick Kane won't travel with the Detroit Red Wings for the start of their upcoming five-game road-trip, but could join the team partway through, head coach Todd McLellan told broadcast reporter Daniella Bruce."

The Red Wings have been used to adversity early on this season with the loss of Lucas Raymond early on, also due to injury.

Dylan Larkin buried two goals, alongside Alex DeBrincat's single goal to help the Red Wings beat the Blues for the second time in a row on Tuesday.
"Tonight's game recap:

- Detroit goes back to back vs. STL, with a much cleaner game this time
- Wings win 7 of 10 to start the season for the first time since 2010
- Larkin up to 16 points (2G+1A tonight), 2nd in NHL
- Gibson with another W over STL
- Depth was good!"
Ben Chairot and Elmer Soderblom also scored while being backstopped by John Gibson, who made 20 saves for the Red Wings.
