Red Wings debut new powerplay lines at morning practice ahead of preseason matchup against Sabres

The Detroit Red Wings and head coach Todd McLellan debuted new powerplay lines this morning at Little Caesars arena ahead of their preseason matchup against the Buffalo Sabres.
As the Detroit Red Wings take on the Buffalo Sabres tonight in a preseason matchup, new lines appear to be rolling out that will be put to the test.
They're quite intriguing to say the least, and it appears that last seasons strong powerplay groups won't be broken up.
"Red Wings practicing with these power play units:
1. DeBrincat/Larkin (net front/bumper alternating), Raymond-Kane (flanks), Seider (point).
2. Compher/Copp (net front/bumper alternating), Berggren-Kasper (flanks), Gustafsson (point).

The second powerplay unit features Andrew Copp which is quite unexpected, but it's due to the fact that newest aquisition James Van Riemsdyk has left the team to attend a family matter.
Simon Edvinsson returns to Detroit Red Wings practice
Last week, tough injury news struck the team as we received word that Simon Edvinsson may not be ready for game one of the regular season early in October, thankfully, he has returned to practice ahead of schedule and could very well be making greater progress than expected.
