The Detroit Red Wings learned the fate of Lucas Raymond at morning practice ahead of tonight's game against the Florida Panthers.

Lucas Raymond had to leave Monday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs after getting hit from behind by Chris Tanev.
If you missed it, here's how it happened:
Today, the Detroit Red Wings were back at practice ahead of tonight's game against the Florida Panthers, and an update was made concerning Raymond's status for the first time since the injury.

Red Wings Make Official Update On Lucas Raymond's Injury

Lucas Raymond jumped on the ice to practice with his teammates earlier today but didn't take part in line rushes, was wearing a non-contact jersey, and Mason Appleton was on the top line, suggesting he wouldn't be ready to return to the lineup in tonight's game.
Later, after practice, head coach Todd McLellan confirmed in a press conference that Raymond wouldn't take part in tonight's game against the back-to-back Stanley Cup champions and that he is considered day-to-day.
The team confirmed the news in an official update on social media:
Raymond is definitely one of the best players in Detroit, if not the best. Losing him long-term would've been a very tough hit for the Red Wings.
But with the Red Wings set to meet the Panthers, Edmonton Oilers, and Tampa Bay Lightning in the next three games, everyone in Detroit hopes to see him healthy again and ready to return to the lineup soon.
In three games so far this season, the 23-year-old forward has tallied three points, including two goals. Last season, he had 80 points, including 27 goals, in 82 games.
