Detroit Red Wings fans are eager to learn the status of their superstar Swedish forward, who remains out due to an upper-body injury suffered during the last Toronto Maple Leafs game.

Forward Lucas Raymond was removed from the lineup due to an upper-body injury that happened during Monday's game against the Maple Leafs.
A controversial hit resulted in Raymond being injured and the Red Wings being shorthanded.
Fortunately for them, James Van Riemsdyk and Mason Appleton would come in clutch to score a goal each against the Maple Leafs, helping to solidify the victory on Scotiabank Arena ice.
'It looked pretty innocent, actually," coach Todd Mclellan said postgame, adding, "Really hard not having Razor, but we hope to get him back."

But the fact remains that they're without an 80-point scorer in Raymond. He plays a critical role in the team's offense and on the power play as a 1st-line and 1st-power-play-unit player.
We haven't had an update on Raymond since Monday.
"It's big," McLellan said. "You could see our power play was a little out of whack. The timing, the sense of comfort of having him there was thrown off. I thought our penalty kill didn't get affected much by it. It was pretty good. But the rolling of lines, Larkes, I think Larks was in the box three times tonight. All of a sudden, those two aren't in the game for a lot of it (4:26). It puts a lot of pressure on some other players, and Larks, especially in the third period, sat for four of the 20.
"So tough when you lose both of them."

Fans react about as well as you should expect:

The Detroit Red Wings Remain Without Key Player Lucas Raymond

Last season, the Red Wings were able to get 80 points of production out of the Swedish-born forward.
If they're to progress, they need him healthy, so not only will the first line fire on all cylinders, but the power play too. Now, without updates, fans are left to ponder the worst and hope for the best.
Raymond is a homegrown talent by the Red Wings, drafted 4th overall in 2020, and is a key piece in the team's future.
