The Detroit Red Wings defenseman Moritz Seider became the 11th defenseman in franchise history to reach that incredible milestone during Thursday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Red Wings lost 6-5 in shootouts last night, their fourth loss in the last six games.
However, during the game, Moritz Seider reached an impressive milestone that deserves to be recognized despite the loss.
Indeed, he became the 11th defenseman to reach the 200-point mark.

Moritz Seider Reaches New Milestone, Cements His Elite Status

Seider registered the 200th point of his career with an assist on Dylan Larkin's goal last night.
Daniella Bruce confirmed the news on X:
Seider shows that he deserves a spot among the best defensemen in the league, not only due to his on-ice skills but also for his great maturity, as we saw in a recent interview with NHL.com:
"I think the game gets easier the less you think about it. Things just come automatic. They happen instinctively. Other than that, I feel like you work so hard in the summer, you're ready to go either way. If it's 25 (minutes), if it's 28, even if it's 30, you kind of pick your spots even better, and you kind of just flow through the game."

"I just try to stay calm. Try to let the game come to me. Don't be chasing it. Pick your spots whenever you get a chance. Then just really focus on moving the puck up ice and then kind of join instead of just trying to be ahead of the rush. Sometimes when you force things, you just end up with a goal against. I think that's been working pretty good."

"It'd be totally wrong and be inappropriate to kind of drift away and think about that. I think once we head into the new year, I think the excitement gets bigger, and that's the way it should be. Other than that, I think we have a lot of business to take care of."

Seider, 24, has 21 points, including four goals, in 28 games so far this season.
Stay tuned for more.
