A recent report by The Athletic has revealed that the Detroit Red Wings are set to receive several reinforcements this upcoming season.

The Detroit Red Wings, led by general manager Steve Yzerman, once again had a very disappointing offseason.
Despite being out of the playoffs for a whopping nine straight seasons, very little reinforcements were acquired by Yzerman.
Kudos to the manager for the John Gibson trade, which has solifified the Red Wings' crease for the upcoming season.
It appears that Yzerman's saving roster spots for upcoming talent, as Detroit Red Wings reporter Max Bultman has revealed that several high-end prospects are set to join the organization in the coming weeks.

Multiple Red Wings prospects expected to make jump to NHL this season

According to Bultman, it all starts with Carter Mazur, who's almost a lock to make the leap.
"Carter Mazur
Long-term projection: Bottom-six forward

Estimated arrival: 2025-26

Mazur made his debut already, and for that reason, he's probably the slight favorite for the next young player to get the call. His debut was short-lived, of course. He sustained a season-ending injury just over a minute into his first game, but the work Mazur put in to earn that call-up last spring didn't just vanish when he got hurt.

When healthy, the 23-year-old Mazur has lived up to his reputation as a gritty forward with a nose for the net, willing to dig out pucks for second chances and boasting an impressive shot. That could give him a nice path to a bottom-six role soon, adding the kind of hard offense Detroit needs more of."

Up next is another forward, Nate Danielson.
He's led the Grand Rapids Griffins to great success and is expecting to do so with the Red Wings in a top-six forward role.
"Nate Danielson
Long-term projection: Second-line center

Estimated arrival: 2025-26

Danielson has all the tools to be a legit second-line center in the NHL as a smart, responsible, 6-foot-2 center who skates well and can make plays with the puck.

I think Danielson makes his way to Detroit at some point this coming season. He'd need a big camp to make the team for opening night, with the Red Wings typically preferring their top prospects play a major role in Grand Rapids, but it's easy to imagine him getting a look at some point this season and earning his keep when he does"

Enough of the forwards; this time it's goaltending prospect Sebastia Cossa.
He's projected to be a starting goaltender one day, and what better time to get NHL action than backing up longtime veteran John Gibson?
With goaltender Cam Talbot appearing to be on the verge of being traded, Cossa is emerging as the Red Wings' backup.
"Sebastian Cossa
Long-term projection: 1A goaltender

Estimated arrival: 2025-26

Cossa is another player who has already technically made his NHL debut and could very well get his next look this coming season. He's set to start in Grand Rapids again, though, with John Gibson and Cam Talbot locked in as Detroit's NHL tandem, and he has some work to do with the Griffins. The 2021 first-round pick had a rocky finish to last season after a lights-out start."

Bultman has inside sources to the Red Wings organization that can be greatly trusted, so expect some major transactions to take place shortly.
