Three Detroit Red Wings prospects could make the jump to the NHL this season, per new report.

President of Hockey Operations and General Manager of the Detroit Red Wings organization, Steve Yzerman, will have a busy offseason this year if he wants to help his team get to the next level.
Despite having key veterans in Patrick Kane, Dylan Larkin, and Vladimir Tarasenko, as well as young talented players like Lucas Raymond and Moritz Seider, the team has had disappointing results last season.
After a coaching change and some offseason acquisitions from Yzerman, the team could be in a position to expect much better results next year.
A new report highlighted the possibility of seeing three young players come in to help the team move in the right direction.

Axel Sandin Pellikka, Amadeus Lombardi and Sebastian Cossa to start the next season with the Red Wings?

While most of the Red Wings' lineup holes are likely to be filled by free agency or trade market acquisitions, some young players could earn a spot on the roster if they impress at the training camp.
Prospects Axel Sandin Pellikka, Amadeus Lombardi and Sebastian Cossa are the main contenders.
Axel Sandin Pellikka
With Jeff Petry leaving, there will be at least one spot available on the Red Wings' blue line. If Justin Holl ends up parting ways with the team, that'll be two spots.
Sandin Pellikka made a strong case to have one of these spots. While he could benefit from spending some time in the AHL to adapt to North American ice, he is ready to compete at the next level. Last season, he scored 29 points in 46 games in the SHL, and added one assist in two games with the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Amadeus Lombardi
Lombardi impressed many people by scoring 40 points, including 19 goals, despite being limited to 44 games this season due to an injury.
He opened up on what he went through in an interview:
"Mentally, getting through all of that was pretty tough. I've never been through an injury like that before, missing that much time, so that was something I had to learn. It was a good experience, and I did well with our [medical] staff."

"They also did a really good job with me, so that I was able to feel ready and come back. The hardest part is when your team and all your buddies are on the road, but you're by yourself. It was an adjustment, but I'm happy I came back strong and was able to help the team down the stretch."

Sebastian Cossa
Cossa's development curve hasn't been as linear as some other goaltenders drafted in the first round, and like Pellikka, could benefit from playing another year with the Griffins.
However, it'll depend on what Yzerman does with Alex Lyon and Petr Mrazek.
Who do you think deserves to be on the lineup for opening night?
