Wade MacLeod passes away at 38, remembered as longtime journeyman
MacLeod was diagnosed with a form of brain cancer in 2013, leading to his inability to speak.
The golf ball-sized tumor removed from his brain didn't stop him from continuing his hockey career.
Battling through several different surgeries, including four while playing pro hockey, his last surgery was last November.
While continuing his pro career in Germany, he suffered seizures and was diagnosed with a cancerous glioblastoma.
After receiving clearance to return to hockey, he played in England during the 2020-21 season, marking his last season in pro hockey.
We would like to offer our sincerest condolences to everyone affected by this tragedy.
Rest in Peace, Wade MacLeod.
