The Detroit Red Wings have recalled former 1st-round pick, Nate Danielson, from the AHL ahead of today's game against the Chicago Blackhawks.
The team could find a use for the former 9th overall pick in 2023, who plays center for the Grand Rapids Griffins.
This season in 4 games, he's scored 5 points (1-4) and is finding his footing in the AHL in his second season of professional hockey, despite facing injury setbacks.
Last year, the 2023 1st-round draft pick played 71 games and scored 39 points (12-27).
It appears now he could prove he's worth a longer look, should Todd McLellan find use for him in the lineup.
