The Detroit Red Wings have added to their goaltending depth, with GM Steve Yzerman completing the signing of HC Kometa Brno goalie Michal Postava today.
The Detroit Red Wings have added another promising goaltender to their prospect pipeline.
The team has signed 23-year-old goaltender Michael Postava of the Czech Extraliga's HC Kometa Brno.

Postava caught the Red Wings' eye after posting stellar numbers this season with a record of 23-18-0, 2.39 GAA, and a .921 save percentage. He added three shutouts to his name this season in 42 starts with the Kometa Brno.
He'd step up his game during the postseason and would lead Kometa Brno to the 2025 Extraliga Championship with a record of 10-7-0, 1.97 GAA, and a .940 save percentage.
Postava would continue his excellent performance, with three shutouts added in the postseason. During game 7, he made a name for himself, saving all 21 shots from their opponents, HC Dynamo Pardubice.
Postava will join a deep prospect pipeline in Detroit, as it's likely we'll see him in a Grand Rapids Griffins jersey before he dons a winged wheel.
The Detroit Red Wings haven't released the details of the compensation for his two-year, entry-level contract with the team.
We're certain that when the Red Wings do, we'll find out on PuckPedia and keep fans updated on the situation.
