Detroit Red Wings acquire former 26th overall pick from the Ottawa Senators

The Detroit Red Wings have just acquired a former 26th overall pick from the Ottawa Senators, along with another player during this year's NHL free agency, and it's surprising.

The Detroit Red Wings' general manager, Steve Yzerman, continues his busy free agency on July 1st with two more signings, including a former 26th overall NHL draft pick.
A recent announcement by the Detroit Red Wings' official social media 'X' account, revealed that the organization has signed the former Buffalo Sabres' Jacob Bernard-Docker, to a one-year contract, with an AAV (Average Annual Value) of $875,000.

"UPDATE: The #RedWings have signed Jacob Bernard-Docker to a one-year contract with an AAV of $875,000."
Additionally, the Red Wings also unveiled on their 'X' account that they have signed the former Boston Bruins' Ian Mitchell, a defenseman who was acquired in the 2017 NHL Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks as their 26th overall pick.
It was also revealed that Mitchell signed to a one-year deal with an AAV of $775,000.
