The Detroit Red Wings and Steve Yzerman are by no means done after acquiring goalie John Gibson, according to The Athletic.

The Detroit Red Wings haven't made a lot of moves ahead of free agency. They cleared some cap space by trading Vladimir Tarasenko to the Minnesota Wild and acquiring goalie John Gibson from Anaheim.
Now, according to The Athletic, the team is just getting geared up for more moves this postseason.
As it stands now, the team has $17.2 million in cap space available to work with after signing Patrick Kane to a one-year, $3 million AAV deal, in addition to defensemen Albert Johansson ($1.125 million AAV) and Jonatan Berggren ($1.825 million AAV).
"The Red Wings landed goaltender John
Gibson from Anaheim in exchange for Petr Mrazek and two draft picks (a second and a fourth-rounder). Prediction: Detroit is by no means done, as word is it has something big planned for the next few days."
The Red Wings have been one of the teams that have inquired about Rangers defenseman K'Andre Miller, according to recent reports. He could be another big piece the Red Wings try to acquire in the future, as they can upgrade their left side significantly, with Miller.
The only question is if they will be able to fit his raise underneath their salary cap while attempting to acquire a top-six winger who could improve the team's offensive output.
As free agency begins first thing tomorrow, we should keep our eyes and ears open to see if Steve Yzerman will go bold or conservative again this year.
If he wants to win a cup, he'll need to make a significant reinvestment into the lineup.
The Red Wings finished just shy of a wild-card spot in the playoffs, and a blockbuster deal is needed to improve the team overall as a unit.
With Mitch Marner off the board, that leaves Nikolaj Ehlers, Brock Boeser, and Andrew Mangiapane as available UFAs.
