The Detroit Red Wings are in dire need of each and every single point they can acquire at this point in the NHL season, and with a crucial 4-1 loss to the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night, frustrations sparked in the locker room.

The Red Wings are at a crucial time in this season in a jam-packed Eastern Conference, sitting four spots out of a Wildcard spot to make the playoffs.
Prior to their matchup against the Capitals on Tuesday, Red Wings forward Alex DeBrincat sent a stern warning to teammates, addressing to urgency for everyone to get their game together and a win is the only thing acceptable.
"We need to win every game, and you feel that energy around the room. Everyone's ready to play, and tonight has to be another one of those where we come out strong and continue it all the way through the game."

DeBrincat's message sadly did not reflect on his teammates, as it was a mess of a game in their loss to the Capitals, and captain Dylan Larkin has had enough.

Larkin calls out Red Wings locker room after loss to Capitals Tuesday

Team Captain Dylan Larkin did not shy away from letting the truth be told, calling out his teammates for cheating on plays during his post-game press conference.
«You don't do that (winning) by cheating, you do that by playing the game the right way. We didn't do that tonight. It hasn't gone our way». -Dylan Larkin following loss to Capitals

One of the plays in question to Larkin's 'cheating' comments, is center Marco Kasper, who got caught too deep into the offensive zone, leaving his man (Pierre-Luc Dubois) wide open, which lead to their leading 2-1 goal in the third period.
Another example is defenseman Albert Johansson, who got caught chasing his man behind the net, leaving a cross-ice lane wide open for their 3-1 goal.
It was quite the bad breakdown for Detroit in the third period. Hopefully after captain Dylan Larkin called out the locker room, his teammates can reflect and come back a different team on Saturday for their game against the Vegas Golden Knights.
