Detroit Red Wings issue crucial injury updates on Soderblom, Mrazek amidst playoff push

The Detroit Red Wings have eight games remaining of their regular NHL season and as they intend to squeeze their way into playoff contention, an insider has suggested we can expect some faces nearing their return.
The newly acquired net-minder, Petr Mrazek, endured an injury on March 24, when he faced one shot versus Utah before leaving the game with a head injury, and has been labelled 'out' every since.
Additionally, an update on his injury w announced this morning by a reporter from The Athletic, Max Bultman, revealing that Mrazek will not be available Friday, April 4, when the Red Wings take on the Carolina Hurricanes at the Little Caesar's Arena.
However, it was revealed Mrazek was present at the teams morning practice today for the first time since his injury which leaves fans hopeful that we can expect his return on the rise.
The 23-year old forward, Elmer Soderblom, was absent from Detroit's lineup for their last few games with an unspecified injury, however, he has been labeled 'day-to-day'.
The Detroit Red Wings' head coach, Todd McLellan, revealed Soderblom to be day-to-day and specified that he was still attending practice:
«Day to Day,» McLellan said. «He put his equipment on (Monday) and skated a little bit. So good sign.»

However, NHL insider, Helene St.James, announced this morning that Soderblom's return is suggested to be just in time for Friday's game against the Hurricanes.
