Next season in Little Caesar's Arena, could we see a rejuvenated and revitalized Captain Dylan Larkin of the Detroit Red Wings as a new dad, could it put a new perspective on his relationship with GM Steve Yzerman?
Over the weekend, we were witnesses to Captain
Dylan Larkin and his wife, Kenzy, welcoming a new life, Lennyn Marie Larkin, into the world.
The news gave us hope, and the birth which occurred on the 19th of May could prove to be a vital moment in Larkin's life.
A joyous moment in their life we were able to part of through social media, could be a catalyst for something greater.
We'll never discount the sacrifices Larkin has gone through and what he has shed in blood, sweat, and tears for this team.
But the birth of a child is a special moment, and while the Captain had a successful 30-goal, 70-point season in 2024-2025, could we see him skyrocket in production?
Larkin hasn't accomplished a lot in the league in terms of postseason success, but with a new mouth to feed, and a new perspective in life things could change.
The last time he produced anything near 100 points was 79 (31 goals, 38 assists) in 2022-2023.
If GM Steve Yzerman plays his cards right, and gives the
Red Wings the players needed, could Captain find himself pushing for a postseason spot, that won't be a Wild Card?
Either way, we're hopeful that this birth results in a positive influence on and off the ice.
