On Wednesday, October 22, the Detroit Red Wings saw their five-game winning streak end in an unfortunate circumstance against the Buffalo Sabres, and J.T. Compher appears to be pointing fingers.

Before last night's matchup, the Red Wings were number one in the Eastern Atlantic Division with a record of 5-1-0, but now they are below the Montreal Canadiens.
This goes to show how crucial every game is, and J.T. Compher appears to be pointing fingers at two specific teammates for spoiling their streak.

Detroit Red Wings' J.T. Compher reveals his opinion on why the team lost against the Buffalo Sabres

In a recent interview, Compher expressed to NHL.com that a huge downfall of the game was the fact that the team underwent two penalties within the first minutes of the game.
«Anytime you take two penalties in the first minutes of the game, it's going to give the other team a lot of confidence and they get playing their game before we even get most of our guys on the ice.» Compher told NHL.com following the game."

Just 35 seconds in, 19:25 in the first period, defenseman Simon Edvinsson took a roughing penalty, and forward James Van Riemsdyk took a two-minute penalty for hooking at 16:65 in the first, just three minutes and four seconds into the game.
This ultimately played a huge factor in the Red Wings' confidence, and Compher states that he believes these two faults may have given the Sabres the game.
Do you think last night's matchup between the Detroit Red Wings and Buffalo Sabres would have ended differently if the Wings didn't take these two penalties off the hop?
While it is uncertain, it seems as though Compher believes so.
