The Detroit Red Wings are on the hunt for goalie depth, and who would be a better option than the Detroit Red Wings' own Cam Talbot, as Stan Bowman could do worse?

The Edmonton Oilers are coming off their 2nd loss in the Stanley Cup finals. This time at the helm, GM Stan Bowman shoulders the blame for the loss, as the team wasn't built to finish the job.
You can't help but notice that neither Stuart Skinner nor Calvin Pickard was the one to help finish the job.
That's why he should be looking high and low for his next goalie, and that goalie is in Hockeytown.
Cam Talbot was a part of a duo that couldn't do much behind a terrible team, but he could help push the Oilers into the deepest part of the postseason.

Cam Talbot Back to the Edmonton Oilers?

The website Heavy.com is unironically heavy on trade proposals lately, and one of their latest sent Talbot back to the Edmonton Oilers.
Talbot originally occupied the Oilers' crease from 2015 to the 2019 NHL season after beginning his career as a New York Ranger.
The proposed trade nets the Red Wings a prospect and a pick:
"Oilers acquire:

Cam Talbot
Red Wings acquire:

James Hamblin
2027 third-round pick"

The Red Wings could keep Grand Rapids flush with depth, as this trade would give them forward James Hamblin, who scored 45 points (19-26) with the Bakersfield Condors last season.
They'd stash a 3rd-round pick in the 2027 draft to trade or add another prospect with, in addition to relieving themselves of Cam Talbot's
He only has a year left on his $2.5 million AAV contract he signed with the Red Wings in 2024-25.
While the Oilers shore up a duo with Talbot that needs help, as Stuart Skinner has been inconsistent his entire career in Edmonton.
