The hockey community mourns a tragic loss of 34-year old former KHL star forward Fedor Malykhin

According to reports Malykhin was found deceased in his apartment.
He was known as a quality person on and off the ice by his friends, family and teammates.
He spent 13-years in the KHL with Traktor Chelyabinsk, Spartak Moscow, Ak Bars Kazan, Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg, Vityaz Podolsk, and Avangard Omsk.
In 2018, Malykhin won the KHL Championship with Ak Bars Kazan, completing his childhood goal.
I am sorry to hear about the passing of former forward Fyodor Malykhin at the age of 34. Reports claim that he was found dead in his apartment.

Former KHL Star Fedor Malykhin Passes Away At 34

Malykhin scored 219 (107+112) points in 548 career games with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg, Ak Bars Kazan, Traktor Chelyabinsk, Spartak Moskva, Vityaz Podolsk, and Avangard Omsk in the KHL, from 2010-2023. He won the Gagarin Cup with Kazan in 2018 and also participated in the 2014 KHL All-Star Game.

Internationally, Malykhin scored 2 (2+0) points in 5 games while playing for Russia in friendly competition.
He would end up retiring after the 2022-23 season.
And just a few years later, the 34-year old was found in his apartment, deceased.
The hockey community continues to mourn following another passing of a sports soul.
