Major Report Surfaced Where Captain Dylan Larkin Is Traded To The Western Conference
Trade Rumors swirl, as reporter Ben Kuzma suggests a trade of the Vancouver Canucks 1st-round pick for the Detroit Red Wings CaptainDylan Larkin.
The NHL offseason has begun, as the playoffs are in full swing, and those teams who are out of the competition gear up for June and July.
The future of these NHL squads depends on the the next few months, and the Canucks are in desperate need of depth down the middle.
There's a mass amount of speculation that the Vancouver Canucks are interested in Red Wings Captain
Dylan Larkin.
According to Ben Kuzma the Canucks should utilize their 15th overall pick in the 1st-round of the 2025 NHL Draft to secure the center.
With the lack of consistency down the middle, as
Elias Pettersson's reliability is in question, and the compounding injuries of
Filip Chytil, they will have to consider other avenues.
That being,
Steve Yzerman's Detroit Red Wings, who are in the midst of a rebuild.
The 28-year-old center would fit the bill the Canucks need, as a strong two-way center who remains a consistent producer.
Yzerman would have to consider asking Larkin to waive his NMC in order to facilitate a trade, but given his frustrations with the team this year, it might not be a far-fetched idea for it to happen.
To make it happen, GM Steve Yzerman would need Larkin's ok to make the trade a go.
For now, all we can do is speculate on the future, which remains uncertain.
