A heated battle between Macklin Celebrini and Moritz Seider continued from the penalty box in Sunday's game between the Detroit Red Wings and the San Jose Sharks.

The San Jose Sharks and the Detroit Red Wings faced off in an exciting matchup last night, with two of the most electrifying players in the league so far this season meeting on the ice: Macklin Celebrini and Dylan Larkin.
The two players are currently tied in the fourth rank among NHL scorers, with 18 points. Nick Suzuki, Cale Makar, and Evgeni Malkin are among the others at that rank, behind Mark Scheifele, who has 20 points, as well as Jack Eichel and Nathan MacKinnon at 19.
Although the matchup between Larkin and Celebrini was anticipated, another one involving Celebrini didn't disappoint.

Celebrini Gets Involved In Wild Battle With Moritz Seider

Celebrini's compete level has always been high, and he proved it again last night. Toward the end of the game, the two players engaged in a battle for the puck, and things got heated, forcing the referees to send them both to the penalty box.
Then, the two players kept going at each other, with Celebrini not shying away from giving a piece of his mind to Seider.
Check out how it went down here:
The whole night, Seider was right on Celebrini, and he managed to keep him off the scoresheet, ending his point streak at seven games.
The Wings goalie Cam Talbot had great words for Seider after the game:
"Celebrini is an unbelievable talent over there, and you need a guy like Mo to play that physical game against him."

In addition, Seider scored a goal to give his team the lead in the third period:
Todd McLellan offered his insights on the young defenseman after the game:
"I'm glad that he got that shot through because some of his shots have been getting blocked lately. Maybe that'll encourage him to use that shot that he has. It's a powerful one. It's often accurate. And when there's traffic there, it's going to be hard to stop."

The two teams will meet again on January 16th. It'll be interesting to see if Celebrini and Seider pick up where they left off last night.
