NHL Euro Media Tour: Moritz Seider Appears With Famous Soccer Player

The NHL is holding its annual European media tour this week in Milan. Players were invited to attend an Inter Milan game and experience the atmosphere of European soccer.

It was all part of the league's effort to promote the sport overseas and build excitement ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina.

At that event, the Red Wings star Moritz Seider got the chance to meet a famous soccer player,

Seider ended up sharing the spotlight with Yann Sommer, the veteran Swiss goalkeeper who now plays for Inter Milan.

Sommer joined the club in 2023 and helped them win the Serie A championship a year later.

He's known for his calm presence in net, sharp reflexes, and leadership with the Swiss national team.

The two athletes met at the team's training facility. Cameras caught them swapping jerseys.

The Wings' 23-year-old defenseman played all 82 games for Detroit last season, recording 8 goals and 38 assists for 46 points. He also led the Red Wings in ice time at 25 minutes per game and set the tone physically with 212 hits.
