Several reports have surfaced this past week involving the Detroit Red Wings' divisional rivals, the Boston Bruins, in talks regarding a trade that could very well be a blockbuster move.

Several teams in the NHL are still attempting to find their identity as we're one month into this regular season, but the Boston Bruins are certainly atop that list.
General manager Don Sweeney's Brad Marchand trade, which saw the Bruins acquire a bag of pucks (practically), screams rebuild.
But the management group refusing to use the word 'rebuild' and the recent offseason signings of players such as Tanner Jeannot prove the opposite of a true rebuilding process.
According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, we may have all been fooled, as the Bruins could very well be preparing to start their official rebuild off with a 'bang,' regarding a trade of their top-line center.

Elliotte Friedman reveals Canucks and Bruins are talking about a Pavel Zacha trade

The Sportsnet insider addressed ongoing trade talks involving Pavel Zacha, the Bruins' top-line center, that reportedly date back to this summer.
"I think it's all the way going back to the summer, the Canucks and Bruins have been on-off about this,"

"Teams are looking for centres, Boston doesn't have to do anything here it doesn't want to do," Friedman added. "But this has been kind of a dance with the Canucks and some other teams, seeing if they can pry Zacha out of there."

Friedman also believes that the Canucks are not on Zacha's no-trade list, which gives them the green light to acquire the 28-year-old forward.
From the perspective of the Red Wings organization, they are likely smiling ear to ear hearing reports of Boston potentially kicking off their long-term rebuild.
The Bruins have significantly contributed to Detroit's nine-year playoff drought.
This could all be changed with just a few trades.
