A Detroit Red Wings forward is garnering trade interest from the Philadelphia Flyers in the Metropolitan Division.

The Philadelphia Flyers are a team that could be looking to make some additions to their lineup before the trade deadline to help their playoff push.
With the high parity in the Eastern Conference this season, the Flyers, who are currently 6th in their division, are only two points away from a playoff spot, but if they want to be in the race until the end, filling holes in their lineup will be crucial.
According to a new report, the Flyers could find what they're looking for in Detroit.

Flyers Could Target Red Wings Forward Michael Rasmussen On Trade Market

The Red Wings have a few players that could interest teams across the league, but organizations looking for size and potential will surely make offers for Michael Rasmussen.
The 9th overall pick at the 2017 draft has been struggling this season so far, with only five points, including two goals.
He was recently placed on the IR with an undisclosed injury, but earlier today, the Wings announced his official return to the lineup.
Per Elliotte Friedman, the Flyers could be tempted to add some size to their team, and at 6-foot-6, Rasmussen is an interesting option:
Although he hasn't had a great year so far, the player could bounce back after a fresh start.
In 409 NHL games, the 26-year-old center tallied 62 goals and 83 assists, with 239 penalty minutes.
On Friday, the Wings faced the Tampa Bay Lightning, and Rasmussen made a great play to help his team open the scoring in the first period, assisting on J.T. Compher's goal:
Updates will follow.
