These 3 Red Wings are at risk of being moved by Steve Yzerman

With a quarter of the season done, it appears evident that while the Red Wings are better than last year, but some pieces are still missing to make the team a true contender for the Stanley Cup, a trade with the Canucks that we discussed recently could really turn Detroit into a contender.

In the coming years, many prospects will join the team to help them win, but it appears evident that Steve Yzerman must complete trades in the meantime.

According to a new report, three players appear to be the obvious candidates to be traded.

With the Wings needing top-six talent and blue-line depth, three players could be on their way out of Detroit as Yzerman is expected to complete trades:

The Wings' 9th overall pick in 2017 has struggled to find rhythm in his six seasons in Detroit. This year, the 26-year-old, six-foot-six center has scored five points, including two goals, in 19 games. He's currently on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury.

Paired with another player, a prospect, or a pick, the player could bring an interesting return to Detroit due to his potential and his size.

The 35-year-old veteran brings depth to the blue line, but when Simon Edvinsson returns from his illness, it wouldn't be surprising to see him out of the lineup.

His one-year, $1M contract makes him an easy player to move.

Copp has been involved in a lot of trade rumors in the past months. The player has another season after this one on his five-year, $5,625,000 AAV contract, meaning if he doesn't get traded this season, he could end up leaving the Wings next offseason or during the next season.
