The Detroit Red Wings' Lucas Raymond has been suggested to be undergoing an injury following the team's final game of the 2025 season.

The Detroit Red Wings took on the Toronto Maple Leafs last night, Thursday, April 17, for the team's last matchup of the 2025 NHL regular season, and defenseman, Lucas Raymond, appeared to have severely injured himself during a collision into the boards.

The 23-year old immediately made his way to the bench following the collision and new insight reveals the young defenseman may have separated his shoulder from the contact.
Dr. Harjas Grewal, a family doctor who reports NHL injuries, announced today, Friday, April 18, that he suspects a separated shoulder.
Despite the uncertainty of Raymond's injury, it could not have come at a more convenient time for the defenseman.
Although an injury is never ideal, Raymond endured his injury during the last game of the year, leaving him enough time to fully recover for the 2025/26 season.
Lucas Raymond finished the 2024/25 NHL season with a personal record in points thus far into his career, scoring 27 goals, 53 assists, totalling at an unbelievable 80 point season within just 82 games, the young key-defenseman is on track to a very successful future, as his points per season continue to sky-rocket per season.
Raymond has undoubtedly becoming a star defenseman in Detroit's lineup and fans are excited to see what he has in store for next season.
