Two Detroit Red Wings players were listed among the top 20 affiliated prospects list by Elite Prospects.

The Detroit Red Wings may not have the biggest prospect pool in the NHL, but if there's an area they've got well covered, it's the goalie department.
Indeed, with Sebastian Cossa and Trey Augustine, the future of Detroit's crease is taken care of.

With the addition of John Gibson, the goalie unit is packed with talent, hinting a trade could be coming out of Detroit.
But Yzerman will need to think twice before trading either one of his young goalies, both considered among the best prospects at that position by Elite Prospects.
Cossa, the 22-year-old goalie drafted by the Wings in 2021, is the most likely to be dealt.
The Wings GM is renowned for being patient with players. Considering goalies take more time to develop than other positions, it's not surprising to see that Cossa had time to develop.
But now, Cossa's entering the final season of his entry-level contract. Yzerman will need to consider all scenarios, especially if he believes an extension deal will be tough to reach.
Despite his bumpy road, his great potential makes him one of the best prospects in the NHL not playing in the NHL.
As for Augustine, it's not surprising to see him there. The goalie won back-to-back gold medals at the World Junior Championship and has been performing well in the NCAA.
He's set to compete with Michigan State next season and will likely end up among the top contenders to win the Hobey Baker Award.
If a trade were to happen, I believe Augustine is untouchable. Cossa, or even Gibson, would be dealt by Yzerman before Augustine, in my opinion.
Trading one of them to bring talent to the blue line or the top six could be a smart move for Yzerman, although having two top goaltenders splitting the crease for many years could also be enticing.
