Lucas Raymond declares his love for a Red Wings teammate: "He's so much fun to be around"
Patrick Kane was a key forward in the Chicago Blackhawks organization, and with Lucas Raymond's recent praise of the NHL legend, he has gained a friend and a teammate to mentor in the Swedish forward.
The Detroit Red Wings have found a great teammate in Patrick Kane.
He's been around the league long enough to know what it's like to be a winner and a great teammate.
Kane has won three Stanley Cups, all with the Blackhawks.
He brings that experience with him to Detroit and has been a positive influence on Swedish forward
Lucas Raymond.
Raymond would sing his praises in a recent interview this week:
The veteran forward, Kane, "is so much fun to be around and learn from."
If Raymond's game has been influenced by Kane, his production shows it.
He scored 80 points (27-53) this season. For a young player like Raymond, he'll have to absorb all the information he can, all the while building a meaningful relationship with Kane.
It sounds like they have begun that process after he arrived in Detroit during the 2023-24 season in the NHL.
For the Detroit Red Wings, this proves that the veteran forward has more uses than just being a 59-point forward on the ice.
A multi-role player that can make the team better in the locker room and on the ice, something that money sometimes can't buy.
As an experienced leader, it seems like Kane has bought into Hockeytown and its mythos as he continues to make sure the team around him grows into something bigger and better.
